Church: a Restoration Centre

I believe Jesus Christ Himself has outlined a basic mindset of the church as a recovery centre.

This seems to be where we are at Mittagong Presbyterian Community Church.

Not only are we a welcoming centre but a seeking centre for the lost, the needy and broken.

Now as much as ever we are needed, even if it is not always recognised. The Parable of the Banquet in Luke 14 teaches us to go out quickly and make them come in. This is our challenge. We are told that those who are poor, crippled and lame are the ones we are to prepare for and invite. We are servants who are called to continue in the wonderful task of preparing the banquet and being ready for the return of our Master and entering into the full joy of feasting with Him.
