Kingdom Bearers

Genesis 7             Luke 17: 20-37

It is a great privilege that we have, to be carriers of God's kingdom message about Jesus Christ as the Lord of all and giver of life.

We carry this message in our hearts and with our lips.Our eyes are set on this kingdom which is not of this world.

Life on this world is for us a temporary journey toward an eternal city. The benefits are out of this world.

The importance of this journey is that we travel on it with Jesus Christ Himself as our personal Lord and Saviour. With Jesus we make real progress here, and gain our life for eternity. This is real gain.

As kingdom carriers we can expect a major interruption to life as we know it, with Christ's sudden return. We are called on to see our life as connected with Jesus Christ, and to be part of His mission to the lost world.

This coming Kingdom of God, and His king provides the subject of our passage today from Luke 17: 20-37.

In the weeks leading up to Easter we will follow the kingdom theme through to the all conquering death and resurrection of the King and what this means for our progress as His kingdom bearers here on earth.
